Dagnon to Degnan Maine to R.I.

Hi My great grandfather James William Dagnon(Degnan) was born in Lubec sometimes called Trescott or Eastport, Maine. His Father was Michael and Mother Mary, they were born in Ireland. The variation of the name went from Dagnon to Degnan as they moved to R.I. A census taken in 1860 shows a Michael and Mary Dagnon in the right time frame, but their youngest son was listed as William, which could be what they called him, if this is him, he had 4 brothers and 2 sisters. His brother Michael was born around 1853. It looks like their might have been twins Patrick and Mary, maybe not some of the writing is hard to read. I know that when he died a Michael Degnan was listed as next of kin 2. Mary Degnan was listed as first. If any of this sounds familiar please write.
