We are searching for my wife's gg grandfather JOSEPH M DEGAN aka LONGLOIS. Joseph married REBECCA and they had 2 children: PHIDELIA b 1840 and FRANCIS M b 1844. Both children were born in Wabash Co, IL
JOSEPH M DEGAN had a sister, JULIA ANNE LOVELLETTE we think she was married to EMANUAL LOVELLETTE. Joseph M had 2 brothers: FRANCIS DEGAN aka LONGLOIS and AUGUSTUS DEGAN aka LONGLOIS.
Some believe that Augustus and Francis moved from New Madrid, Missouri after the earth quake to Wabash Co, IL in the early 1800's and both died there. Augustus in 1876 and Francis in 1878. We think that Joseph died about 1844.
Any information about this family would be appreciated.
