Jean Charles De France was born in 1810 in Maastricht, Limburg, Netherlands. His parents were Charles Joseph De France and Marie Catherine Gerardu (see post #8 in this forum).

He and his wife had at least three children.

One of them was Anton Lambert De France, born in 1835 in Maastricht. He married Elizabeth Bongers in Arnhem, Gelderland, Netherlands in 1864. They began their family in Arnhem and emigrated to Oconto, WI, in 1875, where their last child (John) was born.

Their sons, Charles and John, raised their families in the Green Bay area in the early 1900's. Their sister, Helena, was my great-grandmother.

I would like to hear from anyone with De France ancestors or relatives from the Netherlands.
