Dear Linnie;

I hope this will be of some help to you.

Pigeon Hill,Vt (which you list) is actually in St. Armand, Quebec. The border between the United States and Canada actually consistently moved until it was finalized in the early 1900's. I believe you would have better luck looking under the Canadian Genealogy, or trying to contact the local parish there.

What was once possibly considered Vermont became Quebec and visa-versa.

I have family which came from St. Armand and have been having problems locating them with the fluctuation of the border.

The Family name is L'Esperance.

I truly hope this will be of some help to you.

Good luck.:<)

Warmest Regards;

George R. L'Esperance Jr.
