I'm looking for information on my great-uncle John Deets. Although I don't know much about him I do know the following:
John Deets had a sister Ellen Leona Deets, who was born on June 18, 1892 in Plymouth PA. Ellen Deets was my Grandmother. She later married Clifford Van Valkenburgh. I don't know this for a fact but I'm under the impression that Ellen was John's younger sister making his birth date sometime before 1892. My Father was born in Wilkes-Barre PA in 1920 and so Ellen lived there around that time. Later on before WWII Ellen and Clifford moved to Kingston NY.
John Deets died in an industrial accident. I beleive this was sometime in the 1930's.
I also beleive that John Deets was a veteran of WWI.
I'm told that John Deets was married and had childern. There was possibly a son also named John.
My father, Robert Van Valkenburgh named me after his Uncle John Deets.
