I am also trying to trace this line. I have from the 1880 Barbour co. AL census and from some relatives the names of the other children of Frances Deese and John Jackson Helms. The ones not listed are James T. and John F. Also Lillie and Ann are the same. Lillie Ann married Ely Shorter Herring 1/31/1884. They were my husband's gggrandparents. I would like to share info with anyone searching these lines. Retah.
