lol this comes 3 yrs after your original posting. I have 2 uncles who spelt their name as Deas. Also I have some cousins that spell it Deese. And mine is Dees. I'm as confused as you are. I found out that The Deas name is a sept of The Clan Dividson from around the Amberdeen Area in Scotland. Having a hard time trying to find the connection but the wife and I are trying.
