My Grandmother's maiden name was
Maggie Matt. Deese.(b.1875ish,d.1950ish) She married Mr. Reed and started a family with him in 1884. I have no info. on her parents. I attended a Deese Family Reunion in Lone Oak, Arkansas around 1966. It was held near the Deese Family Rice Farm. I believe the name of the lady who organized it was Virginia White, she would probably be in her 70's if she is still living. I have not done any research at all until now. Please let me know if this leads you to a connection.
