I am newly acquainted with genealogy research, but I am looking for my family line.
Something to connect me back to Emanuel Dees on the original tree (assuming such a thing is possible).
I have been disconnected from the Dees side of my family my whole life, so I only know the following:
I am Charles Gordon Dees III
I am the first son of Charles Dees Jr., who was the first son of Charles Dees Sr.
I was born in Texas. I recall having been told that my father's family comes from Oklahoma or Arkansas.
I do not know where my father or grandfather are, or even if they are still alive.
I now have a son of my own and I am suddenly very interested in answering these questions for his sake.
If anyone could help me, I would be most grateful.
