This is a plea to ask Dean/Deen's to get your DNA tested. Just received results from my son's test(37) and found a brother(Thomas Dean/Deen) of my husband's ggrandfather(John C. Deen). Exciting! Connected the line of Early J Dean(La)to our Deen's (SC>GA>Chambers Co.,Alabama>Upshur Co.,Tx). Their father was
Thomas E Deen, b abt 1797/8 SC. Yes, the spelling of Deen was changed to Dean by Thomas,knowledge passed down to the present generation,thank goodness. We never could have connected without the DNA tests.Hoping to find someone else with SC
roots to post DNA....that goes for the Van Zandt Co., Tx Deen's too. If anyone thinks there might be a connection, would welcome an email.
