I'm hoping you may be able to help me track some of my Deens. They too were from Appling co. My gr grandfather was Lester Deen born abt 1879 d. 7-15-1934. He married Sindie Benton 10-17-1908. Sindie died abt 1918/19. Lester remarried her sister, I think her name was Mary. His father is listed as John M. Deen, mother Ellen McCellan(d)?. Lester and both wives are buried at Big Creek Cemetery, Alma, Ga. Does any of this ring a bell? email me at hushpuppyg@aol.com
