I'm looking for any of the DEAN/DEEN descendants, of the DEAN families who settled in the counties of Forsyth, Guilford, Stokes, Surry, and possibly Granville counties of North Carolina. They settled in these counties in the middle/late 1700's. I have a generation of DEAN/DEEN siblings from this period - with none of their children listed. The siblings names are: Soloman, Thomas, Mary, Elizabeth,Sarah, Frances, Rebekah, Nansee, Charity, Jean, Isaac, Frederich. Their father was Frederich DEAN/DEEN, who was born in Ireland. In the 1850 Heads of Households census for Forsyth, Co. NC - The surname is spelled DEEN. I do not know when (or who) this spelling changed to DEAN. Due to the nature of the large families of the Scots-Irish, I strongly suspect that quite a few of the DEANS/DEENS migrated to other states. It's been reported that some moved to Indiana, Tennessee, and possibly South Carolina Texas & Georgia - but I haven't proved that yet. If you think you have any link to these counties in NC, please get in touch. Any & all help very much appreciated.
