Me, too, Jim... this sounds like it could be related to my Deen/Dean family. My Nancy Deen/Dean married Robert J. Hemphill in Madison Co, GA, 3FEB1829. And they had a son named Willis Marion Hemphill, who was my 2ggf. Names are too close to be just a coincidence, I think.
