I was very interested in your post. My maiden name is Deen. My family is from Ark. & OK. My great-grandfather's name was Nelson, "Redman" Deen. He is buried in Thalequah, OK the capital of the Cherokee nation. I have no other information on him but there are stories of him receiving the name of "Redman" from his wife who was Cherokee. He lived in Indian Territory his whole life as far as I know. I can't trace any farther back because I don't know his parents names. I heard he may have had a couple of brothers who lived in Tulsa, OK. but no nephews. Let me know if you hear of any connection. Thank-you.
