Juniper Deem, son of Jacob Deem who was born in Hagerstown Md

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I am interested in finding out where Juniper Deem, b 4-10-1806 in Wood Co, W. Va, got his given name of Juniper. Apparently his parents were Jacob Deem who was born 4-09-1765 in Hagerstown, Md, and Eva Cox. My ancestor Juniper Hall Sr, b 1769, d 1828 Emanuel Co Ga, is a DNA match with a Henry Hall who was born abt 1774 in Hagerstown Md. Since Juniper is such an unusual given name, I am wondering if there might be some kind of connection. Juniper's other two DNA matches, Reuben Hall b 1775 and William Hall b 1804, were also born in Maryland. Thanks for any help.
