John Deem, Sr. married Martha. Their children:
1. George Deem
2. John Deem jr., born 1841 - died 1922, married Hester Ann Lewis
3. Jehu Deem, married Annie Ruble (Standford's father)
4. Rachel Deem, married John Black
5. Mary Catherine Deem, married George Braden

Source Wayne Edward Deem:
John Deem III, married twice, first in 1811 to Polly Turvey. He lived and died in Freeport, Wirt County. He was born around 1790, and was a soldier in the War of 1812

JOHN DEEM, son of Adam Deem I, lived and died at Freeport in Wirt County. He, too, was a soldier of the war of 1812, and was twice married, but the names of the wives are missing. George, John, Jehu, Mrs. Rachel Black;; and Mrs. Elizabeth Braden are given as part of his children.

John Deem's first wife was: Polly Turvey (Wood County marriage license August, 1811), and his second wife was Sarah Elizabeth Flenner (Wood county marriage license Nov. 12, 1834. This was Jehu's mother, born about 1841.
