The above mentioned sisters were orphaned when Susie (the middle one, age wise) was 11. They came home from school to find that their home had burned down. The father died shortly after the fire, and the mother just a few months later. They had an older half-brother - no name known. Father's name was Adam Deem, and the mother was Lizzie White or West. Susie was born abt 1892. Adam was a coal miner. Recently found out that all of the children were sent to live with relatives in Indiana, and that they were separated young. They did not reunite for about 40 years, according to family members who knew Susie. Grace married someone named Crichfield or Crutchfield, and they lived in Greene/Sullivan County IN and raised sheep. Susie married Noah Deem (Greene Co IN) and they were my husband's grandparents. Florence married someone named Eaches. Anything we could find would be wonderful - what is here is about all we know about any of them. Does this fit your Deem family?
