I have a Sarah Ann Deel in my family who married John Lane Mason in Schuyler Co Illinois. From another researcher, her father was Peter Deel, mother Sydney Snyder. I show her born in Brown County and death date 12 Sept 1923.

From diary of William Edward Mason: entry of 10 Sept 1863
"John Lane moved to New Lancaster, Kansas, with his wife, Sarah Deel Mason, six children, his mother, Eleanor Guthrie Mason, and brother, Jeffrey Monroe Mason. I never knew why John Lane decided to move to New Lancaster, Kansas, but suspect it was because of his wife's great interest in the temperance movement, which motivated Kansans to support the prohibition of whiskey and spirits. Sarah Deel Mason's sister had married a man from Paola, Kansas, who was involved in the temprance movement and encouraged the John Lane Masons to move to that state. John Lane's move to Kansas left four children of Thomas Mason and Eleanor Thurston Guthrie Mason in Illinois - Harriet Malinda Thompson, Abram Mason, Eleanor Elizabeth Thompson, and me." beverages.
