My family... John and Ann Deegan came from Borrisocane, Tipperary. Landed in Sydney Australia 1841. I was born in Sydney, 1944. i live in coal mining town called Mackay, Queensland. 2000ks north. Big coal area. My g/g/grandparents sailed with assisted passage on the Marquis of Salisbury. Just interested in family tree. I visited Borrisocane in 2007. Had trouble finding headstones of family. My family have always been involved in mining coal, in early days south of Sydney. Would like to correspond. Patrick T. Deegan.
