My great grandmother Catherine Deegan Murray, born in Ireland (not north) emigrated from Liverpool with her son John in 1888/1889 and went to Oakland. (I have not been able to find any tie there but suspect there must be one). They lived there until the early 1900's when he married Eliza Helen Schomberg and she married Rudolf Wanner and both moved to SF. Catherine oulived her son and second husband and died in 1931 at about 80 years of age. I know almost nothing about her YET but am pursuing at the moment a few clues from her probate- she definitely had a sister as she made a bequest to a nephew in Dublin in her will.In trying to find an Oakland connection I did find a Michael Dagon in Oakland in 1880 with his family wife Bridget, children Sallie and John. Also in 1910 a Mikaela Deegan 36.
