Major William F. Deegan of the Bronx was a veteran of WW1 aand an early founder of the American Legion. He died in 1932 at the age of 50. He had a son, William F. Deegan Jr. who died in the 1970's. I am looking for any relative. Major Deegan has been honored by having a portion of the New York Truway named the Major Deegan Expressway. I am looking for information of that family.
