Mary:
I believe the Knocklong O'Days (just plain Day in Griffiths) came to Chicago around 1852. I have a great-grandmother Bridget O'Day (1838-1910). She had
at least one brother Michael (born 1835). Bridget's parents with Mary Bridget O'Day born around 1802 and Patrick O'Day born about the same time. There was a Patrick from Knocklong who died in Chicago in 1885. The Chicago directories show all of the O'Day men, Andrew .... living together on the near west side. If they were born in Adare, those baptismal records would have to be
very old. I believe the oldest dates from 1832. I do have a cousin living in Adare.
I will ask her to take a look at whatever the Church has.
