If you look up Canada's phone book listings under www.canada411.com you notice most of the Dedrick names are in Ontario, and the ones here in Nova Scotia are mainly in the Shelburne County area. Since the NS ones are right along the shoreline, it makes me think they probably arrived here as Loyalists from the Revoluton, or simply came up long ago to fish and decided to stay.
Do any of the people posting on this site have any mention in their family history of a branch of the tree in Nova Scotia or Ontario, Canada ?
You might want to post messages to the NS site: www.nsonline.com/forums/forum1.cgi
