I ran across this entry in a book I was reading and thought I would post it in case it helped anyone:
"John Deadrick (died 1797) was a Nashville merchant. He was also a brother and business partner of George Michael Deadrick".
The original sources are The Blount Journal (1790-1796) by the Tennessee Historical Commission, 1955, pg. 111 and "Sevier's Executive Journal" Vol 1 (1929) pgs. 128-129.
