Hello, My name is Cherie and I live in Washingon State. I've been looking for any info. on my Grandmother for a long time. I think she may have been born in Kansas or Nebraska. She was living in Freeport, Stephenson Co., Illinois in 1910. I have three postcards that belonged to her. She received one of her postcards there. By 1914 she is in Washington State being married to my Grandfather, Hamilton Matier, out in the San Juan Islands. They were married on Lopez Island, lived in the Skagit Valley before going to live in Yakima Wa. to help cure her T.B. She died in Yakima in 1919 when my father was only three months old. My dads name is Arnold and he had an older sister, Helen and a brother, Albert. I'm searching every possible tiny clue. She went by Hattie or Lucretia. I found a Hattie Dedrick with a brother by the name of Charles Edwin and a sister Mrs. Lucy Green - home in Colorado Springs, Colo. The info. said that Hattie was deceased when it was written. This family had a homestead claim/160 acres in Smith Co. Kansas - near the Nebraska line. I have no idea if my Hattie is connected to this Hattie. I believe if I just keep trying I'll find her one day. Thanks for your time. Cherie
