My Ancestors were Deadman's from Rowan Co.NC
Dating back to the 1700's,you can find the listings.

This is a Family Tree of the "Dedmon's"
and their ancestors by my cousin Leroy Dedmon.
Our Dedmon's started with Mark Richard (Deadman)Dedmon,
a Revelutionary Soldier. Evidently was shortened by him?
There are many variations in the spellings of the Deadman name !
