Hi
As far as we know this William DeCoursey/cy/Coursi
was born in Baltimore Co. MD at an Dutch Reform settlement as they had fled from the burning of their home by the Indians in Walpack, Sussex Co. NJ This family is a French Hugenot coming through Holland with the name Racer and settling in what is today, Harlem, New York City, New York. From there to Walpack , NJ

The Maryland family DeCourcy left France in 1066 to England, that name is in the Domesbury Book. The Maryland DeCourcy's had several William's and according to my records even one with the same birth year as this William. I do have the information back to Ireland for this family. As I corresponded with a DAR member, who was working on this family. Need more you can e mail me.
