I too am a DeCoste from Gloucester, MA, born at the Addison Gilbert Hospital in 1932. My grandparents were Charles and Charlotte DeCoste, immigrants from somewhere in Nova Scotia. They had at least four kids, maybe five. They were named: Freeman, William, John, Eleanor and, I think, Millie. My grandfather Charles had a close relative, maybe a cousin, named Abe who also lived in Gloucester. He had at least one female descendent that I know of named: Claire. We were in the same Algebra class in high school but we had separate interests and never really socialized.
As far as I knew, in the thirties and forties, these were the only branches of the DeCoste family on Cape Ann.
Would like to hear from someone who might be able to tell me where, exactly, my grandparents came from in Nova Scotia.
Bob
