Here's what I have on this family:
John R. DEBOW (1812-5/27/1884) m. 8/6/1838 in Monmouth Co to Lydia MORSE (1818-4/8/1880)
John was the son of Thomas DEBOW (born NJ about 1/1784?-died 5/25/1874) and Abigail/Abby _______ (born PA about 1/1788-died 10/27/1870) of Jackson Twp, Ocean Co, NJ. Both buried Robbins Burial Ground.
Lydia was the daughter of Asher MORSE and Elizabeth BRITTON.
John and Lydia had the following children:
1. James H. DEBOW (born about 1839)
2. Rachel DEBOW (born about 1841) m. William THOMAS
Remained in Monmouth Co (Millstone Twp area).
3. Asher DEBOW (born about 1843) m. Deborah ___________
Moved to Jersey Co, IL in the mid-to-late 1860s
4. Mary DEBOW (born mid 1840s) m. ____________ PRESTON??
5. Sarah E. DEBOW (born about 1850)
6. Abigail/Abby DEBOW (born 1/1856-died after 1920) m. (1) George W. ANDERSON (died 1879) and m. (2) Wesley MAPLE.
Lived in Millstone Twp, NJ with George Anderson and in various parts of Monmouth/Mercer Co, NJ with Wesley Maple.
My main line is Abigail DEBOW and George W. ANDERSON.
I have additional info on these DEBOWs, some of their children and some of their other relatives. Would love to correspond with other interested DEBOW researchers.
