Hello,
I'm searching a Michael Debolt (spelling on NY Civil War records) who may have been born about 1830, not sure of where, but he was a Pvt. in the 1st Regiment, New York Provisional Cavalry and fought at Gettysburg. He survived the war and settled in the Phila. area and had at least 2 sons:
George DeBolt (note spelling of DeBolt now)
Walter DeBolt

I have descendants of Walter but am seeking more information on Michael Debolt. Have written to NY for his Civil War records.

Any info is greatly appeciated.
K. Simmons
