Hi Tracy,

I have been trying to trace my mothers maternal line for the last 18 months, but seem to be getting nowhere. I am told my mother's grandfather was Herbert Debnam/Debenham b. abt 1870-80, we think he came from Stansted/Cheshunt, Herts area. The family were farm labourers/ farmers. He married abt. 1890-98, Hannah Mary Clayton, they lived at Debden Green, a small hamlet near Bps Stortford, Herts and raised a large family of which my maternal grandmother was one, b. 1904. The eldest son I believe was John, he died in the last ten yrs in his late 90's.

Do you think you might have some info. for this family.

best regards

Gaynor Beck
