Debenham's in Scotland

I am very new to this genealogy thing, so forgive me if I make a terrible faux pas!
I'm reasearching my great grandfathers ancestors, and my aunt has told me that an ancestor called Debenham (pronounced der benham) had an estate at Forres, Elgin, in Scotland. Can anyone help me with this line of enquiry? Where else could I search for information?
Thank you in advance,
