Looking for John Debar, father of Jacob James Debar, b. 1781 NY, m. ~1803 Cayuga County. Jacob moved to MI bef 1840 and all of his adult children (one son and seven daughters) followed by 1850. On the 1830 and 1840 censuses, there's also a John A. Debar/Debarr family at Sterling in Cayuga County. Several of John Debar's kids (at least five sons and one daughter) moved to the same area of MI around the same time as the Jacob Debar family, so it seems like all these Debars were probably related. They may also be related to the Franklin County, NY, Debars. I'd like to hear from anyone researching these families.
