I am descended from Roadman/Rodman Devers/Devours/Deavers out of Alabama. I am told by my great aunt that she believes that out Devers originally was Deavers. Does anyone have any information that may connect my Devers family? He was married to a Knight in (I think) Jackson Co, Ala.
