Hello,
My name is Shirley and I'm trying to find information on my mom's family. Her father's name was Frank McKenzie and her mother was Mamie Viola May Deaton. Frank died in 1957. Mamie was born in 1904 and died 9-2-39. My mother, Juanita Ann McKenzie was pretty much raised by her grandparents. Charlie Thomas Deaton and Neely (nickname). She thinks her grandma's maiden name was Chapel. Mom (Juanita) was born and raised in Laurinburg, Scotland County, North Carolina. So I suspect that is where the decendants are from also.
Mom has/had 3 sisters and 1 brother. Alice, Myrtle, Beulah, and Frank. Mom and Aunt Bea are the only two that are still alive.
If anyone has information that might be helpful I sure would appreciate it.
