I've got the date of William Deaton & Martha J Rose as 1 March 1853 in Rockcastle Co. (from the database: Kentucky Marriages, 1851-1900).

I'm looking at the 1860 Kty, Rockcastle Co. Census. on family line 457/445 it lists
Wm Deaton 35 born NC (1825) (In 1870 he is 56 years old)
Martha 30 born NC (1830) (In 1870 it's Martha J born KY)
Richard (no last name or dito marks) 15 born KY (1845/1844)
Eizabeth Rose 13 KY (1847)
G.W. Rose " 10 KY (1849/1850)
Sarah C 8 KY (1852?)
Robert Deaton 6 KY (1854)
Martha J " 4 KY (1856)
Rebecca " 1 KY (1859)
(I think the last names for the children should have been placed up one line).

If Sarah was born before her parents marriage or if her age was listed as 1 year off then the first three children were Martha's from a prior marriage and they are Richard Rose, Elizabeth Rose and G. W. (I don't know the name)Rose.

I've got the 1870 & the 1880 Census for Rockcastle KY as well they list Sarah C, Marth J, Robert, Rebecca, Louise F (1861), Cynthia A (1864), and James S & William M (1867).

If Elizabeth Rose in the 1860 census is the same as your Elizabeth F Deaton She would have been 5 years old when her mother married him, so he would be just like her father to her.
