You are correct John D. Deaton is the son of my William"Captain"Deaton b. abt 1725 died 13 Sept 1781. Married Sarah Jackson(b 1746, d. Aft 1790) in 1764. Williams parents were Thomas Sr. Deaton born in england around 1679 and died in Amelia Co, VA around 1763 and MAry Corington born in England and died in VA. I found somebody else who says that Thomas' fathers name was Levi. I am a descendant of John's sone Lewis Thomas who married Agnes Powell.
Could you verify the following information for me please.
John Sr. Deaton b. abt 1766 in Chatham Co, NC
d. 1848 in Wolfecoal Brethitt Co, KY
m. 1785 in Lancaster CO, SC to
Isabella (Brantley)
b. abt 1769 in Lee Co, VA
d. abt 1855 in Owsley Co, KY
They had 12 children
Elizabeth, Lewis Thomas, Samuel, William, Joseph, Brantley, Levi, Deliah, Jemima, John"Buck", MAry "Polly", and Phoebe.
William "Captain" Deaton
and Sarah also had 12 children:
James, Joseph, NAthan, John Sr, MAttew, William Ebby sr, Levi, Eldridge, Polly, Burrell, Margaret, and Elijah.
