My records show that Capt. Wm. Deaton was married to Sarah Jackson born abt. 1746 in Amelia Co., VA
I have Wm's father as Thomas born abt. 1712 in England and died in 1763 in Montgomery Co., NC. Wm had two brothers I know of: Thomas born abt. 1734 and James born abt. 1737. Hope this helps
