My great grandmother was Margaret Jane Deaton. b 12-8-1848 She married William Alfred Gould Dec. 1872 in Johnson Co IL I know the Deatons of Southeast IL came from DeKalb Co AL, but so far I have no background information on Margaret Jane Deaton. She is buried in Independence Co AR and on her tombstone is inscribed, "A native of Alabama"
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
