Captain William Deaton is my 5th Great Grand Uncle
I followed your info down unti I got to John Deaton and Rebecca Delizabeth Lucas.
I show their son as Joseph Sherman Deaton and that he married soneone named Rosetta ?. This info came from a post to Gnealogy.com and is shown below:

Looking for any info on my grandfather, Joseph Sherman Deaton. Born 12/29/1874 in Gallatin (county), IL. Died 3/7/1931 in Shawnee (or Shawneetown), IL. Married to Rosetta (died 5/17/1950 in Shawneetown, IL) Anything you can give me is GREATLY appreciated.
Does that sound correct to you?
I show that Joseph Sherman Deaton and Rosetta had a son named Howard Bernard Deaton. Howard married Unknown and had a daugher named Mary R Deaton. She married a Chandler. That is all I have but it is not confirmed. I have no source t back it up.
Do you have any souce or additionaal on the line you have posted? Would you like to sare some data?
