Hi William, Mike Deaton here.
This is wonderful news. You and I are about the same age. If my info is correct, we are 3 years apart in age. This is what genealogy is all about. Passing on information about ourselves and our families for future generations. We have to do this because in a lot of cases, people do not get into genealogy until their later years [as I did]. By then, your elder family members may have all passed away, [as mine did]. I lot of vital family information was lost to me forever. Taken to the grave. I am determined not to let that happen with me. I am not waiting for my children to ask. I am recording stories in voice, written words, and documents. Maybe sometime, even video.
I appreciate everything you have shared. It is wonderful to get this information. Have you created your genealogy database yet? If not, start now and start putting in documentated, source verified information, unless there are none and you can vouch for it.
