Hello Lynn, thank you...
To the best of my knowledge, Mary Ann Deaton was born in DeKalb County, Alabama and died in Stonewall, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. If the information I have found is correct she must have lived or passed through Illinois because at least three of her children were born there. I believe her father may be Joseph Deaton born in North Carolina and mother Sarah McNew born in Tennessee.

do you by any chance have a Luther Deaton b. abt 1890 Kentucky in your file? My sister in law is a Deaton so I do a little here and there on my file..
