Tomas Martin DEATHERAGE m Sally Catherine NORMAN Ancestors

Great news! A wonderful man answered a message I posted on the Norman Family Genealogy Forum ( http://www.genforum.com/norman/ ) about Pleasant NORMAN. Please go read it & reply. Briefly: Tomas Martin DEATHERAGE m Sally Catherine NORMAN, daug of Martha (Patsy) DAVIS (m Pleasant NORMAN), daug of Isaac DAVIS. Isaac DAVIS may have been a Cherokee chief, but not a principal chief (like a governor -- head of a smaller group or clan, not a president over the entire nation!). Never knew if Pleasant NORMAN was a Cherokee or not, had no info on him. Now we have a lead! This is great! Anyone doing research in Surry Co., North Carolina or Tennessee around 1820s?
