I have Nancy Johnson who married George Deatherage born in 1748 and she died in 1780 so this could not be the same Nancy Johnson who was the Gideon Johnson who you listed. There was a Gideon Johnson who died in NC I think in 1794, her mother is listed in my files as Urusla Allen. There was a Johnson family who lived near the Deatherages in Stokes, (Surry) County, He is listed in the 1790 census as Gideon and he was living alone. This just gets more confusing, doesn't it?
