Kay states "I can’t find her on the 1860 census, missed her somehow"

She (little Martha) is there, you just missed her. The Ozias George family is in Texas Co MO for the 1860. If you look at land records you will find Ozias had land there. Using a messed up census it is not an easy find, but in index look for Cyrus D George, it's Ozias. The children are harder to find, fact you won't find them on the index.

The house above Ozias this year is a Boyd family. On the page, Ozias who taker has turned into 'Cyrus' and Elizabeth are listed at the very bottom of page. When you turn the page you will see the children, but in turning the page the taker has labeled the children "Boyd". Elizabeth's children are there: Martha age 9, Nancy age 5 and 'Semantha' (Samantha) age 1.

It's like what I was telling you when I responded to your email. The closer you get to event the odds are the information may be more accurate. But it's a toss up. You have Martha here as 9 roughly 1850ish birth. You have Martha stated as born 1849 on her death record, many many years later. Which is correct? Your guess is as good as mine. If she was born in 1849 the census might state Martha age 10 or even 11. In my files I have noted her death record date of birth and I have also noted she is missing from her family's household on the 1850 census and then appears with her mother and step father as age 9 on the 1860 census ect.

In Rev. Wm Roger's probate Nancy Rogers (Nancy Mason, widow of Thomas Coleman Rogers) signed for the minor children of her deceased children: Richard and Minerva (Minerva is listed as 'Marcia' on the 1850 census, likely her middlename) Nancy signed off Oct 1852.

Elizabeth George and Ozias George (Elizabeth Rogers daughter of Thomas Coleman Rogers and Nancy Mason) signed off on 12 Oct 1854.

Jeremiah Orchard, husband of Martha Rogers (daughter of Thomas Coleman Rogers and Nancy Mason) signed off for Martha. And it states as such: Jeremiah Orchard for Martha Orchard on 23 Feb 1851.
