Hello ....

My Gr. Gr. grandparents were William and Elizabeth (Pickle) Deatherage. My Gr. Grandfather, Mathew Henry Deatherage was the only son to survive the Civil War (two brothers, Sampson H. and John G., died in the War).

After the War, Mathew Henry moved with cousins (the sons of Mathew Gale Deatherage) to Moniteau County Missouri and settled there.

Other than two unmarried daughters of Wm. and Elizabeth (Hester Catherine and Ruth J.) this line of the family in Virginia or North Carolina ended with the move of Mathew Henry to Missouri.

Dave Deatherage
