Hi Rhonda,

Not only am I one of the Millwood/Deatherage "not by marriage" descendants, I also happen to live in Stokes County, NC. My mother's family (Murilla Millwood, Nicey, Andrew Jackson, Thomas, William G.)comes from Forsyth County GA and by some strange quirk of fate, the company I was working for at the time transferred me here. We have a fairly decent genealogy section in our library here. I've actually searched bastardy bonds until I was dizzy but no luck. The fact that Fanny Millwood was living in Rowan County by 1800 might have something to do with it. Since Rowan was part of Stokes at one time, there's the possibility that the proof is there instead of Stokes. If there's anything that you need for me to search, let me know. I would love to have this one put to rest. I'm still looking for the Indian connection that all Millwoods claim and unless it comes in through the Deatherage side, I don't see any evidence that it exists. Let me know if I can help.

Sandra
