Sir,
My name is Jack W. Dearth, my father was
Lawrence Charles Dearth, his father was
John Wesley Dearth of Detroit, MI.I believe my great-grandfather was named Henry Dearth and his wifes maiden name was Chaffin.
We have been interested in our family history for some time. We know that the
family traces back to Fayette Co. or Washington Courthouse, Ohio. We also have
an old family legend about three brothers
who emigrated to the Colonies in the mid
1700's. I believe these 3 brothers may have
been James, William and John Death, of whom James would be our most likely predecessor.
Is it possible that my great-grandfather was
the g-g-g-grandson of William, son of Randolph Dearth who was son of James Death?
