Hello James,
I am from the Deas home land of FIFE in Scotland, however I did have an e-mail last year from somebody looking into there family tree from South Africa and they were Deas from Fife Im will need to see if I kepted a copy.
However my father was a baker and was in business with a man called Mitchell I remember onday a man from South Africa came into my dads shop with a calander that he had with him as he was touring Scotland it was from Mitchell and Deas bakers of |South Africa the man being I think Mr Mitchell I will need to speak to my dad and try and get some more details although he is now getting on in years. Do you know how your family came to be in South Africa, ther are records of Deas and Dease serving in wars in times gone past.

yours Steve
