I found in the book, "Railway Passenger List of Overland Trains to SanFrancisco and the West Vol. 1", by Louis Rasmusseen, published in 1966, pg. 201, listed following infromation:
"Following passengers passed Carlin, Nevada on Oct. 25, 1872 aboard the West-Bound Overland Train.............
Miss Ann Deas(New York)"
this book is kept in the California room at the Yuba County Library.
